After talking to local health officials, city leaders and other area school districts, the Cape Girardeau Public School District School Board & Superintendent has determined the best way to help protect our community from spreading the virus is by canceling classes.

The CTC (and all other schools in our district) will be closed from Wednesday, March 18 - Friday, April 10. They will determine by April 10, 2020 if it is appropriate for us to return to school on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Please note that ALL school activities will be canceled during this time and we ask for your patience during this challenging time. District buildings will not be open to students, staff or the community until we can be assured it is healthy and safe. However, students participating in clinical sites, etc. should contact their instructor regarding their assignments, if you have questions.

Our district is committed to determining next steps based on the information that is shared with our upper administration & school board. We realize these circumstances are not ideal and hope we can return to school & business as usual as soon as possible.
