AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY
36 Hrs of community college credit available.
Students are introduced to automotive power plants
and steering suspension systems including theory,
construction, and diagnosis and much more in this 2 year
program. Diagnosis will be aided by student operation
of the computerized diagnostic center. Much emphasis
is placed on Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
certification. Principles of brake, automotive electrical,
engine performance, and air conditioning systems are
stressed. In-depth book work along with theory and shop
work is expected. Much emphasis is placed on Automotive
Service Excellence (ASE) certifi cation.
Interview Required
Current, valid Driver License Required
*Students who complete both years of the Automotive
Technology program may earn up to twelve (12) hours
of advanced standing credit from Lincoln College of
Technology (formerly Nashville Auto Diesel College in
Nashville, TN).
