The Cape Girardeau Adult Education & Literacy (Cape AEL) serves adult students (ages 17 years and older) in the following areas: 

  • Prepare for the new Missouri HSE (High School Equivalency) test – formerly the GED® test

  • Prepare for the U.S. Citizenship exam
  • Prepare for entrance exams such as TEAS math 
  • Learn or improve basic reading, math or writing skills
  • Work with Transitions Coordinator in making next step after HSE (employment or post-secondary)

ESL/Citizenship classes are available at:
